NCSIMUL SOLUTIONS : DACH region under the management of Andreas Seum
Comprehensive solutions with synergies for intelligent CNC machining
Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence has announced a change in the management team for its NCSIMUL CNC simulation solution. As of January 2019, the new General Manager for the regions Germany, Austria and Switzerland (DACH) is Andreas Seum. As general manager of the DACH region for Hexagon's Production Software business, Seum has been responsible for the corresponding activities in the management of Hexagon's CAD CAM solutions since 2017 and will continue in this position alongside his new responsibilities with NCSIMUL.
Andreas Seum brings several years of experience in the IT and telecommunications industry, in both global corporations and medium-sized companies, to the table. An electrical engineering graduate, his initial professional position was with network equipment supplier Cabletron Systems and as director of technology at Enterasys Networks, after which he worked for several years as vice president in leading positions at the CTO office of Siemens AG. He led Euromicron Solutions GmbH as their CEO, and was subsequently responsible for worldwide sales as Chief Sales Officer on the board of ASC Technologies AG.
Gilles Battier, CEO and founder of NCSIMUL emphasises: "With Andreas Seum, we have gained an outstanding manager with many years of leadership experience and industry expertise, who shares our vision of intelligent CNC machining. We are looking forward to working alongside him and wish him every success."
"I see enormous potential in the German-speaking market with NCSIMUL," says Andreas Seum. "The software enables automated, collisions-free and flexible processes in CNC machining, and supports industrial companies in increasing their productivity and meeting the challenges of coping successfully with increasing competitive pressure, high customer demands and demographic change". The innovative potential of NCSIMUL has already been proven with the award of several technology prizes, and so the next aim is to further expand the software and interfaces to other systems in order to offer customers and prospective buyers the best possible, most simple and practicable connection to their existing infrastructure, in keeping with Industry 4.0. "Therein ultimately lies one of the great strengths of Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence's 'Production Software' business: We can offer our customers comprehensive solutions for intelligent manufacturing, but our modular concept allows us also to adapt to customer requirements," adds Seum.Announced earlier this year, the Production Software business brings together the product portfolios of Vero Software, FASys and SPRING Technologies. This merger seeks to further strengthen the existing close collaboration of experts from all three companies in order to develop innovative, comprehensive solutions for customers.
