High-end precision tools
In addition to laser and injection molding machines, we also have over 60 turning and milling machines, mainly from Hermle or DMG, on a production area of 14,000 m². The CAM projects for this are created with SolidCAM and Mastercam, so the NCSIMUL interfaces are very important to us.
OUR DAILY CHALLENGES
Before we had NC simulation? We clearly wanted to be collision-free. We did not want to stand with our hand on the jog dial of the machine to see if the space is enough anymore, but instead use this time for other productive tasks.

- It’s a great technology: Quick calculation and data in the STEP format with real geometries.
- With NCSIMUL, we are collision-free and can better use the capacity of our machine. This is a good feeling.

We were able to substantially optimize production cycles and reduce machining down- time. The surface quality has also improved.

We have been able to operate NCSIMUL very quickly after only 2 days.
WHAT IS PLANNED NEXT?
We are further expanding the use of NCSIMUL. At the moment, more virtual machines are being set up in our company as well as in our mold making. Here, we cut a lot of similar build mold parts, whose processing programs we can prepare and simulate during the day and then produce at night.
The optimization as well as the NCSIMUL Player are important topics for us, which we are now tackling. On the one hand saving by a further processing time per program, on the other hand also with the player the cooperation between our programmers and machine operators simply and more flexibly. This is especially useful when the program has been prepared by another programmer.
FOR US INTELLIGENT CNC MACHINING MEANS ...
The goal is clearly paperless and automated production: From CAM programming through feature recognition to optimized processing processes. NCSIMUL is an important component for this.
